Emergency Operations Plan

Revised: 7/22/2008 CW

The Emergency Operations Plan outlines the actions to be taken by the University in response to emergency situations. It is intended to be a multi-hazard plan and is compatible with the State’s mandate that state agencies follow SB 1841, the Standardized Emergency Management System.

The Plan is divided into three parts: a preface, basic regulatory information and a hazard identification and analysis, and checklists for the functional sections Command/ Management, Operations, Logistics, Planning and Intelligence, and Finance/Administration. Included in the plan are Emergency Operations Procedures. It’s intent is to make members of the campus aware of some of the specifics of the what, where, why, when, and how an emergency is handled.

The President of the University places the Plan into operation whenever an extraordinary emergency reaches proportions beyond the capacity of routine procedures and campus resources.
