Fire Drills
Fire drills are conducted in coordination with University
Police. Two full campus evacuation drills are held during
the year. A day time drill is scheduled in April. An evening
drill is conducted during the Fall semester.
Drills for Cobb Residence Halls are held in the beginning
of each semester.
Each building, with the exception of some of the Temporaries,
is equipped with alarm devices called horns or a combination
horn/strobe. Any time you hear an alarm sound, treat it as
a real incident or emergency and practice evacuating the building.
Know the location of at least two stairwell exits. It is
also recommended to have a departmental meeting place once
